30 Days of Night

I was at the movie theater with Jason recently looking at a poster for a movie called 30 Days of Night and I told him it I had some kind of psychic feeling that it was actually going to be a good vampire movie (clearly there have been… maybe none of those?). So the psychic abilities weren’t working to their fullest potential, and in fact my brain was experiencing a reduced level of functionality. The reason I thought this movie might actually be good is who is behind it: David Slade, the man who also directed the chilling/disturbing Hard Candy. Despite it’s controversial (even in my mind alone) ending, that movie was very effective in the area of emotion evocation. I don’t know about you, but that’s the kind of horror/thriller I like the most.
