Apps I Like
This is a place where I will post lists of free programs and websites that I like to use for different things such as mp3 editing, media viewing, and sometimes a downloadable game or two.

Audacity -
An open-source sound editing application, for me this has only been useful for trimming mp3s to a size fitting for a ring tone. Sound is fun for me, though, and this simple program definitely provided for some good times.
A new, and also free, sound editing program that I actually like better than Audacity. It performs its functions faster (adding reverb, changing overall volume) faster, and it seems to be more robust. I haven’t had much time to tool around with it, but the coolest part for me was the ability to save in a wide variety of sound file formats.
*** Update: I just found out that this is not free software, but shareware. Very unfortunate. ***
File Downloading (Free and Legal Ones, Of Course)
uTorrent -
I’ve heard a lot of people use the actual BitTorrent client to manage their torrent downloads. I found it clunky and a bit confusing. I used to use a program called BitLord, but then I read about how limited its features are and I decided to go with uTorrent. I’m sure it has a lot of utilities that I don’t use, but it seems to have shorter download times, and who doesn’t want their e-legal TV show episodes faster?
